mall rats

Its hard to find things to do in the winter. It gets pretty boring and monotonous. Sometimes we spice it up and do something crazy...like going to the mall. We didn't do any shopping but somehow managed to burn 2+ hours of time. I love when we can do something that Liv enjoys and also helps her burn off some steam because god knows how much steam my baby has. I also like to have an excuse to dress my girl up.

    Desi,
    Are there mommy & me groups around Calgary. I stumbled upon one in a the park in Edmonton. They met at the park every Wednesday to chat and let the kids play. Not sure what they do in the winter...There might be a message board or something around. There was also Mom & Tot yoga and Maestro and me (music) classes offered in the area. Sorry I can't be of more help. Playgroups have been my savior here in DK.
    By the way, Liv is so adorable!!

    Another thing to do is check our your local public library to see if they have tot story hour. It's usually singing, dancing and stories & FREE! BTW, I can't believe you could spend 2 hours in a mall, without the intent on buying anything and NOT buy anything. Just too much temptation :)

    hahah I don't know how I didn't buy anything...probably bc its no fun to shop with a toddler.

    I have looked into the library close to our house. They pre-register and I have to wait a few months until there are some openings, but I am definitley going to check it out. I need to look for more mom and tot groups.
