I finally had progress on my job hunt! I've been working on my substitute teaching applications and my mom's friend, Tracy, called this morning and told me to bring my application packet in to her school today because they're looking for a long-term sub for a para-professional in one of their classrooms. So I hurried and went to turn everything in, and Tracy saw me and introduced me to that teacher...who said she would put my name first on her list and told me that the position opens on May 11th...sooo more good news, because I can still go to Calgary for a visit!!!
Also...I was lying in bed last night and I saw my belly move! Hahaha, I had to keep looking because I thought maybe I was making it up in my head...but she moved again, so I took out my blackberry and tried to take a video, and of course she wasn't cooperating. I pushed and poked and tried to get her to kick or move again...but no luck. Oh well...I'll have to wait until she's more consistent. One more piece of good news...I have less than 100 days left, 99 to be exact haha!

26 weeks and 5 days - belly pics
I went to Marquette last weekend for a visit. It was so nice to see Dani and some friends...I've been waiting to see Dani again because she's my belly picture taker haha. We had a pretty laid back weekend, and I'm going back to Marquette on Wednesday with my mom and brother because they both have Doctor's appointments and why not, free ride up there :).
Pat and I decided that we're not going to pick a name out for the baby until she is born. We are going to pick 3 or 4 that we like, and then see what she looks like...and it takes a little pressure off of us to decide, because so far we've had no luck agreeing on anything besides her middle name is going to be Carolyn (Pats Mom's name). For a little update on the baby, she has been moving around more. I can feel her moving, but I have no idea what she's doing...it doesn't feel like a kick or a punch haha, just movement. The ultrasound tech informed me that the placenta was in the front so that could be why I don't feel as strong of a movement.
Pat's team lost last night, and that was their do or die game...so they are done with their season now, and he should be here in a week! He hasn't seen me for about 2 months...so he might be surprised how different I look haha. Like I said earlier, Dani took some more pictures for me...I wore the same shirt I wore in the first pictures because I thought it'd be easier to compare belly pictures.
My belly button is coming out a little...eek
almost 27 weeks
one with lily of course...sitting on my shelf ha

24 weeks and 1 day
I can't believe I'm 6 months pregnant already...this due date is creeping up on me and I feel like I just found out I was pregnant. My little bump seems to be growing by the day...I had an interview yesterday and I wore a tight shirt because I wanted them to know I was pregnant and not have to tell them, but then I left my jacket on and they didn't notice!! So as big as I feel I'm getting, I think I can still hide it...weird. I wanted to be honest with the people interviewing me because I don't want to go in my first day and say "oh by the way, i'm 6 months pregnant". I'm hoping I still get the job, it was a good interview and one of the people that interviewed me, remembers me from an internship I did there when I was in highschool, so that was a good thing.
Onto the exciting stuff...I had an ultrasound last friday. They had me drink 48oz of water before...which I didn't have to do before, so I was very full of water and in the first part of the ultrasound all I could see was the baby's spine because she was pushed allll the way up by my ribs and couldn't flip around or anything. So after I got to go pee we got to see a lot more. She was moving around and the woman told me she was stubborn because she doesn't move the way she is supposed to. We also saw her opening and closing her mouth and sticking out her tongue!! No sucking her thumb, but her hands were up above her head. The dissapointing part of the ultrasound was the disk they gave me with pictures on it...it was a read only file and I couldn't do anything besides look at the pictures, buuuut I scanned the pictures from my 19 week ultrasound so that I could post those! My mom keeps teasing me because I sarcastically told her that the baby looked like me after I saw the ultrasound pictures...hahah so you'll have to tell me what you think ;).
A good picture of her little face
All five fingers!!! haha
The "It's a Girl!" shot... and according to Carolyn "its a miracle!"

23 Weeks and Doctor's Appointment
I had my first Doctor's appointment in the Soo today. It went great and it was so good to see Dr. Mackie. First thing I did when I went in was get weighed...7lbs later haha. So I am now up to 10lbs total. I figured I gained more than I had any other visit because it seems just in the past couple weeks my belly came out. Dr. Mackie said I'm really healthy and everything looked great...he also scheduled me for an ultrasound on Friday. It will be nice because my mom and grandma will get to go, and thats something they will love to do. I figured this would be a quick visit but thats ok because the next visit I'll be doing the testing for gestational diabetes and I will get another rhogam shot, so that appointment will take longer.
I'm really proud of myself...I played an April Fool's Day prank on Pat!!!! hahahaha. I decided that I was going to call him after the appointment and tell him that I had an ultrasound and that doctor found another baby and we were having twin girls! Ok yes, for a woman this story would be kind of unbelievable...but Pat is a man and has no clue. So this is how it went...I texted pat and said "OMG I need to talk to you". When I was driving to lunch with my mom Pat called me back and asked what I was doing and I said "ohh driving to lunch, we're going to celebrate", and Pat asked why and I said "You're not even going to believe it....I had an ultrasound today...I don't think I can tell you...guess...you'll never guess", and he had mentioned twins before so the first thing he said was "twins?". So he played right into it and i said "YES...two girls!"...and Pat was so happy I couldn't help but feel bad for my prank! So I said "April Fools Day Pat!" hahaha and he said something I'm not going to put on the blog haha. But I was very proud of myself bc i'm not much of a prankster, and the prank turned around on me and I felt bad because I didn't expect Pat to be so excited and actually believe me! Haha oh well, it will be a good story to tell the baby when she's older :)
Anyways...I'm gonna post some random pictures I took of some gifts I've recieved, just because I love seeing pictures on a blog and want to share them. Also, I decided I would post ultrasound pictures after tomorrow so I can post both old and new ones together.
Some really cute outfits...Just a few of my favs
I bought her this pair of stewart weizman slippers!! haha I couldn't help myself :)
My mom's best friend Lori bought me this blanket...and
I love it so much I'm going to decorate the nursery
around it....hearts, polka dots, and stripes.
She sent me 2 other blankets and this is one that matches...they're really comfy
